The Rent is Too Damn High: Why We Must Democratize Compute

The Rent is Too Damn High: Why We Must Democratize Compute

It's been a long time coming, but today I made a realization. As a society, it's now more important than ever that we democratize compute.

We can not allow the currency of our lifetimes—our data, our workflows, and our digital identities—to be swallowed up by the powers that be and resold to us at monopolized prices. It's happening right in front of our eyes.

You see it when Salesforce raises their "per-seat" pricing by 9% just because they can. You see it when a photographer loses their entire portfolio because Instagram decided to change an algorithm. You see it when a small law firm realizes their confidential client files are being scanned to train an AI model they never consented to.

We have moved from a "Buy to Own" economy to a "Rent to Exist" economy.

The "SaaS Tax" is Bleeding You Dry Modern businesses are drowning in subscriptions. You pay for the CRM. Then you pay for the e-signature tool. Then the project management tool. Then the file storage. For a team of 10, you are easily burning $2,500 a month just for the privilege of doing business.

And the worst part? You don't own any of it. If you stop paying, the lights go out. You are a digital serf on a feudal lord's land.

In the meantime, while we figure out the underlying problems, I believe there is an immediate solution.

Show our discontent. No one is forced to play by their rules.

This is where I believe I can fill the need. We can take back the infrastructure.

Enter the Sovereign Stack The technology to break free already exists. It’s open-source, it’s powerful, and it’s free.

  • Ghost is better than Substack.
  • Nextcloud is more secure than Dropbox.
  • n8n is more powerful than Zapier.
  • Twenty is faster than Salesforce.

The only barrier has been complexity. Big Tech counts on you not knowing how to run a Linux server. They count on you being too busy to manage Docker containers.

That ends today.

I am rebranding NohaTek with a singular mission: To deploy Sovereign Digital Infrastructure for businesses that value their freedom.

We are moving away from "Web Design." We are building Digital Real Estate. When you work with us, you don't rent a seat at the table; you own the table. We spin up high-performance Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and deploy enterprise-grade open-source software that you control.

  • No per-user fees.
  • No data mining.
  • No surprise price hikes.

We are democratizing compute by making the "hard stuff" easy. You run your business; we keep the servers humming.

Stop renting. Start building. Welcome to NohaTek 2.0.
